The Suehiro Rikka 5000 is a fast-cutting stone for its grit level, offering a dense yet pleasant sharpening feel and excellent feedback. It produces a razor-sharp edge that is both toothy and fine, making it a favorite finishing stone.
As a slow-wearing stone, it doesn’t need frequent flattening, but we recommend using a Suehiro flattening stone or Atoma diamond plate when necessary. (Suehiro Flattening Stone LINK)
The Rikka 5000 is a vitrified stone that requires soaking for 5–10 minutes before use. Occasional drying is advised.

Great stone to use, and rather fast cutting which I didn’t expect from a 5000grit. it should be noted that this stone dose not give a mirror polish finish but rather a frosted matte finish.
